Huge PGA Championship Merchandise Tent Opening Early In Bethpage

Long Island is ready to welcome the world’s best golfers when it hosts the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black next week.

Though the action won’t kick off until Monday, May 13, a 60,000-square-foot PGA Shops merchandising tent will be set up on the course, open to the public beginning on Friday, May 10, featuring anything a golf fan could hope for.

The venue will be located near the Main Spectator Entrance, along the walkway. When it opens on Friday, potential customers will not require tickets or credentials to anted through Sunday, May 12 in advance of the tournament. During that time parking will be complimentary at the Bethpage State Park Picnic Grounds in Lot C, with shuttles to the shop.

According to the PGA, the shopping experience will offer “men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel and headwear from major brands including Ralph Lauren, Nike, Adidas, Cutter & Buck, Under Armour, FootJoy, Peter Millar, Vineyard Vines, 47 Brand, New Era, and many more! The PGA Shops also offers a major selection of exclusive accessories, gifts and memorabilia.

The PGA Shop will be operated by a crew of nearly 1,000 volunteers, who will work five-hour shifts for a small fee, access to the tournament, meals and free products. There will be approximately four dozen cash registers to accommodate the expected tens of thousands of spectators anticipated for the Championship.

The PGA Shop will be open each day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. over the weekend. There will be shuttles running from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day.
